The Cooking Class Menu:
If you chose so, you will arrive the day before class and make yourself at home at one of the accommodations of the Rosebud Ruby Star Ranch, where Sandy will check you in.
You will receive a dinner basket prepared by Karin.
At 8:30AM, the day of class, all participants will get together at the Rancho Rincon's kitchen and we will talk about the lessons ahead. "Viennese breakfast" lesson begins and we will be able to enjoy what we just prepared together with a nice cup of coffee.
At about 9:00AM "Warm Viennese Desserts" lessons begin.
First dessert lesson will be: "Gebackene Topfenpalatschinken" - "Baked Sweet Cheese Crêpes".
These crêpes are traditional Viennese favorites, filled with sweetened cream cheese and baked in a golden smooth and creamy custard. After the lesson we will keep them in the refrigerator to be enjoyed the same evening as dessert with our Viennese dinner.
Second dessert lesson will be: "Kaiserschmarren" - "Emperor's Trifle".
This is a light, crisp, rum-scented delight, studded with golden raisins and especially delicious when eaten soon. So this dessert will be perfect with our lunch meal.
Soft drinks will be provided throughout the class.
At about 12:00PM a lunch basket previosuly prepared by Karin will be provided.
At about 1:00PM dessert lessons will continue with:
"Nuss- & Mohnbeugerl" - "Nut- & Poppy Seed Scones".
These are nut- and poppy seed filled cookie like desserts which are quite elaborate to make and they keep very well. After baking these, the whole house will smell like a Viennese bakery.
At about 2:30PM dinner lessons begin.
Together we will prepare a three course authentic Viennese dinner. For the dinner menu, please click ~~ here~~ and close window after review.
At about 6:00PM you will be able to freshen up in your room.
At about 6:30 all participants will enjoy their dinner creation together with Sandy and Karin.
You will spend the night and this will end this special combination cooking class and Viennese dinner event in beautiful Joshua Tree.

Please bring the following items to class:

Comfortable clothes and shoes and writing utensils.
