As with all ingredients, I aim for the freshest products available to me.

As your Personal Chef, holding a certificate from the California Health Department for food workers, I will provide the following services:

• Fresh Meal Service:
  Service for 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 days worth of dinners cooked in your home or vacation rental.

  Each home cooked meal of this service includes a main course with one side dish.

  EXAMPLES of costs for this service are:
  For 1 person 3 different dinners (3 meals alltogether) are: $ 160.
  For 2 people 3 different dinners (6 meals alltogether) are: $ 185.
  For 3 people 3 different dinners (9 meals alltogether) are: $ 200.
  For 4 people 3 different dinners (12 meals alltogether) are: $ 220.
  For 5 people 3 different dinners (15 meals alltogether) are: $ 240.
  For 6 people 3 different dinners (18 meals alltogether) are: $ 260.

  This INCLUDES the groceries and all of the following services:

  Assessment, customized menu, personalized shopping, dinner preparations including a main course with one side dish, dinner packaging and storage including labeling of reusable containers (they need to be purchased and can be reused), heating instructions and kitchen clean up with trash removal.
  Dinners will be ready for you in your fridge for your leisure.

• Special Occasion Service:
  Whether it's an intimate dinner party for 2 or a party for up to 12 persons, "Karin's Personal Chef Service" can develop a menu to make your event a really special occasion. Dinners are cooked in your home or vacation rental.

  EXAMPLES of costs for a special occasion dinner, which consists of a three course meal including side dish and salad, are:
  For 2 people: $ 180.
  For 4 people: $ 260.
  For 6 people: $ 340.
  For 8 people: $ 420.
  For 10 people: $ 500.
  For 12 people: $ 580.

  This INCLUDES the groceries and all of the following services:

  Assessment, customized menu, personalized shopping, meal preparations including a first course, main course with one side dish plus a salad and a dessert, ready made for being served, kitchen clean up with trash removal. Alcoholic beverages have to be provided by the client. Prices are based on using the client's china, flatware, linens, glassware, and miscellaneous service pieces and decorations.
  Dinners are prepared in your kitchen and then ready made for you to serve. Alternatively, if you do not want to serve the dinner, I can arrange additional staff at additional costs.

• Fingerfood Party Service for up to 60 People:
  This Service provides fingerfoods for parties for up to 60 people, cooked in your home or vacation rental.

  Each home cooked fingerfood for this service will be prepared from scratch the day before the party and the day of the party.

  EXAMPLES of costs for this service are:
  For up to 20 people: $ 335.
  For up to 30 people: $ 500.
  For up to 40 people: $ 660.
  For up to 50 people: $ 800.
  For up to 60 people: $ 960.

  This INCLUDES the groceries and all of the following services:

  Assessment, customized menu, personalized shopping, fingerfood preparations for 2 days and kitchen clean up with trash removal.
  Fingerfoods are prepared to be served on plates. Alternatively, if you do not want to serve the fingerfoods, I can arrange additional staff at additional costs.

  Alcoholic beverages have to be provided by the client. Prices are based on using the client's china, flatware, linens, glassware, and miscellaneous service pieces and decorations.

• Holiday Service:
  "Karin's Personal Chef Service" takes the stress out of your Holidays, whether it is a party for 2 or a party for up to 12 persons. Your specific Holiday dinners are cooked in your home or vacation rental on the Holiday or the day before.

  EXAMPLES of costs for a Holiday dinner, which consists of a three course meal including two side dishes and salad, are:
  For 2 people: $ 200.
  For 4 people: $ 300.
  For 6 people: $ 400.
  For 8 people: $ 500.
  For 10 people: $ 600.
  For 12 people: $ 700.

  This INCLUDES the groceries and all of the following services:

  Assessment, customized menu, personalized shopping, meal preparations including a first course, main course with appropriate side dishes (up to two), salad and dessert, ready made for being served or refrigerated for the next day with warming instructions, kitchen clean up and trash removal. Alcoholic beverages have to be provided by the client. Prices are based on using the client's china, flatware, linens, glassware, and miscellaneous service pieces and decorations.
  Dinners are prepared and then ready made for you to serve or to be served the next day. Alternatively, if you do not want to serve the dinner, I can arrange additional staff at additional costs.

  Special Holiday Service Cancellation Policy: A FOURTEEN-DAY cancellation notice is required to avoid a $75.00 cancellation charge. A less than 3-day cancellation will result in full payment of service.

• Picnic Basket Service:
  Enjoy as a relaxed meal in your home or vacation rental. Or, if you are planning a day at nearby Joshua Tree National Park, consider taking along your picnic basket for lunch or dinner. There are two options:

  Picnic Basket Service #1:
  Service for up to five persons, prepared in your home or vacation rental.
  Menu suggestions available upon request.
  The costs for this service is $ 30 for each person (2 persons minimum) for each picnic meal INCLUDING the costs of groceries.

  Pricing of this service includes:
  Assessment, customized menu, personalized shopping, picnic meal preparations, for example deli-style sandwiches, fresh fruit, chef's choice of salad, dessert and beverages, packed in a picnic basket (included) for your day of adventures! (Special menu's available upon request priced accordingly), kitchen clean up with trash removal.

  Picnic Basket Service #2:
  Service for up to eight persons. Prepackaged picnic baskets delivered to your home or vacation rental.
  Menu suggestions available upon request.
  The costs for this service is $ 25 for each person (2 persons minimum) for each picnic meal plus the costs of groceries.

  Pricing of this service includes:
  Assessment, customized menu, personalized shopping, packing the picnic basket (included) and delivery.

• Gift Basket Service:
  Pricing of all baskets include delivery within our local service area - Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree! Small additional delivery fee applies outside this area. Please see additional info below. There are three options:

  Romantic Interlude Basket:
  A basket for an evening alone! Cheese, chocolates, biscotti, wafers, candles and more fill this collection full of romance. White or Red Wine needs to be purchased by the client.
  The costs for this basket is $ 65.

  The Italian Flirtation Basket:
  A large pasta bowl stuffed with olive oil, seasonings, pastas, biscotti and other fixings for a meal to remember. Give this basket and you might be invited to Italian dinner!
  The costs for this basket is $ 65.

  Fruit Baskets are a combination of seasonal fruits gathered together for a plentiful feast. Baskets are available with just fruit, or fruit and cheese or fruit and cheese including sparkling cider!

  All Fruit Basket:
  Seasonal fruits with nuts and candies. All packaged up and decorated with a bow.
  The costs for this basket is $ 40.

  Fruit and Cheese Basket:
  Seasonal fruits with cheese, crackers and sausages.
  The costs for this basket is $ 60.

  Ultimate Fruit Basket:
  All items listed above baskets as well as a variety of chocolates, biscotti and sparkling cider. Packed to the ultimate.
  The costs for this basket is $ 99.

• Breakfast in the Fridge Service:
  Find all the fixings for breakfast in the refrigerator of your home or vacation rental! A dozen eggs, a pound of butter, a pound of bacon, sausage, grits, milk, country bread, jams and jellies.
  The costs for this service is $ 45.
• Personal Shopper Service:
  I can also be your personal shopper and by request I will consult with you for your grocery and sundry needs, pick up and deliver to your home or vacation rental. $12 per hour, plus actual cost of goods.

PLEASE NOTE: I can not provide any alcoholic beverages!

ADDITIONAL INFO:

• ALL PRICES may be subject of change.
• A DEPOSIT is required for my services when hiring me. Remember, to guarantee best quality and freshness, I will do the shopping for you!
• THE BALANCE is due on or before the date of service. If you're not going to be at home or in your vacation rental, please leave a check or money order on the counter and I will leave an invoice.
• PAYMENT CAN be made with credit cards and checks via BidPay or PayPal. Or you send your check and money order to:

• CLIENTS LOCATED outside a 10-mile radius from Joshua Tree or Yucca Valley will incur a round-trip travel charge of $2 per mile, for the cumulative mileage outside the 10-mile radius.
• IMPORTANT! Client kitchen (including sink area and all countertops) must be clear of all clutter and dirty dishes before my arrival. Please keep in mind I need the maximum available counter space to work on. For safety and sanitary considerations, it is my policy not to work in any kitchen that is not clean. Thank you for your consideration!
• THERE IS no long-term contract required...you may use the service as often as you like.
• CANCELLATION POLICY: A SEVEN-DAY cancellation notice is required to avoid a $50.00 cancellation charge. A less than 24-hour cancellation will require in full payment of services.
  Special Holiday Service Cancellation Policy: A FOURTEEN-DAY cancellation notice is required to avoid a $75.00 cancellation charge. A less than 3-day cancellation will result in full payment of service.
• GIFT CERTIFICATES are also available and make a great gift idea for new parents, newlyweds, anniversaries, holidays, and for get-well wishes.
